Nerdpit - Weekly News #5

Its been a little while since we've had any weekly news over here on Nerdpit but now that we're back into the habit of writing brace yourselves for fangirling! This week we have a whole lot of nerdy news and very little from the music world, seems like there's so much going on with Marvel and DC lately that we can barely keep up.

So our favourite news of the week has to be that Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Deadpool will be R rated, meaning we're in for swearing, bloody violence and maybe even some sexy times, the only way anything involving Deadpool should be.

Now it wouldn't be a weekly news post if we didn't have a couple of trailers or clips to show you. First up we have new footage from Age of Ultron and Ant-Man in this TV advert by Audi.

And secondly we have an international trailer for Fantastic Four with quite a lot of origin detail in there!

In other Marvel-esque news, two other names have appeared on the Age of Ultron cast list and we're yet unsure as to who they'll be playing; Linda Cardellini and Julie Delpy.

Even if over on Nerdpit we're more fans of Marvel than DC we have to admit that we have a bit (read; pretty big) of a soft spot for Batman. The good news is that we now know when the Batman v Superman trailer will debut in the UK on May 14 before Mad Max: Fury Road.

In other cinematic news Paramount Pictures is said to be looking to expand Transformers into a cinematic universe (not unlike the Marvel universe). This could go either way, they could either end up putting more effort into the films and ending up with something great or just end up with a 'universe' of films with poor storylines.

We have even more film news with the confirmed release date of the classic story re-imagined as a horror, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It's scheduled for Feburary 2016 and to us it looks like it's gonna be just a little bit badass.

We're gonna finish off with the only bit of music news we managed to find this week, Green Day have announced their first gig in over a year, meaning they're more than likely going to be touring sometime soon, something their fans will more than likely be pleased about.

We'll be posting about our awesome experience at Newcastle Comicon on Wednesday, followed by Craig's "GET HYPED" on the new series 'Daredevil' on Friday. So make sure you keep your eyes peeled!
